Welcome to the 2018 Season

Wed, 01/10/2018 - 10:38 - 2018, Tri 4 the Cure, AZ Tri Series

2017 has been an amazing year for TriScottsdale & 2018 should be even better!! We’ve gained over 100 new members during the year and continue to be successful at all levels, from sprint races to Ironman events. We have quite a few “newbies” who have completed their first tri and are moving up in distance, and so many really fast folks qualifying for every possible National and World Championship, and, of course, the rest of us making up the slower, but happy, middle of the pack. For 2017, Ironman TriClub ranked us #6 in the world and #3 in the US in the largest Division I. Congratulations to everyone for this fantastic achievement.

This year we have the newly formed AZ Tri Series, consisting of Tri for the Cure AZ, Cactus Man, and the two MountainMan events. We also have groups going to Victoria 70.3, Santa Rosa full and 70.3, and registration for these is still open.

Obviously, with over 400 (and growing) members, the cost of things like parties, refreshments at events, t-shirts, insurance, tents, trailer, etc. is increasing. We’ve never had actual sponsors or annual dues, just a few generous $$ members who have allowed the rest of us to enjoy our events. So, while we won’t actually be charging dues, we would truly like to ask for assistance to keep a good thing going! We’re asking all who can to donate $50 to $100 ( or anything you feel you can afford) during the next online kit order. It is a tax deductible contribution and you’ll receive a receipt for your records. Our goal is $50,000. Hopefully, this will allow us to continue our growth and success as AZ’s biggest and best, and a top club in the Ironman Global Rankings.

Here’s to a fun and successful 2018!
